The weather has been rather frightful today.
We’ve had thunder and lightning, sheets of rain falling like the chandelier during the Phantom of the Opera, moments when the clouds were so dark and heavy that it looked like night inside our home.
Farley has been cooped up inside and bored nearly to the point of painful death.

I tried to get him to play with me.

I tried rubbing his belly and feeding him treats.

I resorted to putting chickens on his back.

But even Judith and Vesper couldn’t crack his boredom.

The girls even used him as a trampoline!

But he didn’t care.

Poor fellow.

Farley probably senses the immense amount of love you have for those baby chicks and won't hurt them b/c he loves and respects you too much.

i'm charmed that they all get along so well!

  5. my how your girls have grown up so fast. in no time you will have yummy cage free eggs for your morning breakfast.
I tried out your suggestion this morning in the shower after turning on the hot water i put a few drops of oils, all i had on hand was Eucalyptus and tea tree, so i went for the Eucalyptus. It was devine.
I will go look at bashas for more oils. Have you ever shopped at Vitacost.com? They are amazing. pretty much half the price as most health food stores.
Enjoy your rain, you must have sent some to Az, one day it was 95 degrees the next 60's and rain. LOVE IT

  9. Your little balls of squeaky fluff look much less fluffy. 🙂 I imagine Farley as the kind of dog who likes to be out adventuring, so I totally understand his expressions when hes being couped up, with no adventures to be had!

  10. Farley needs Deefor…

You broke the new to the chap didn't you. I'm sad for him!

    I know!
I can't believe how much the girls are growing and how quickly they manage to do it!

You know, they spend a lot of time with me out in the studio and I tell them all about you, marvelous yous! They like you quite a lot and sometimes request to be photographed so you can see their latest feathers. I don't like to encourage vanity with them but thy surely do know they are little darlings.

On a side note, Sean, I did inform Farley of Deefor's passing and he stopped eating for a week and his eyes became very dull and he didn't ever want to chase squirrels. You're right. His mood the other day could be a resurgence of grief…
