  16. Hey beautiful!

I’ve got to ask, how on earth do you always go outdoors with your jeans on? πŸ˜€ I always wonder this when I look at your photos, I could never imagine wearing jeans when I’m out, they’re so tight and get wet!

    • The fact of the matter is that I don’t really have “OUTDOOR” clothing. I just have clothing. Whatever I have on is what I go out in which is why you sometimes see me hiking in skirts and dresses as well as jeans. That said, I sometimes DO switch over to a pair of guide pants in the winter months when I go hiking. They do a nice job of shedding snow. Also, I usually wear corduroy in the winter when I go hiking because it’s warmer than denim. What do you wear when you go walking or hiking? Now you have me curious!

      • That makes a lot of sense. I just realized I don’t really wear jeans at all, so that’s why it feels odd to be wearing them outside. But I do wear dresses and skirts too! As long as I have my good shoes on. And I only have good shoes! And now that it’s cold I’m always wearing woollen merino layers underneath and more wool on top. And something to keep the wind off my bones. And I happen to have a mom who’s into technical outdoor clothing, so I do my hunting and skiing (longer adventures) in her old or gifted “proper” outdoor gear, lucky me!

Ps. the Northern lights have been nuts this year and a couple of weeks back I was running outside my home like a madman trying to catch every changing colour and I thought of you. I was living in Spain when I first found your blog a couple of years back and I started dreaming of mountains and snow. I mean really dreaming. (I had been living abroad for a few of years with no snow.)
And eventually I moved back home to where I belong, with the wild land and SNOW!
And the night I was running with the northern lights I thought of you and how I might have never moved back here without those long sundays in Spain when I made myself a huge cup of tea, browsed through the beauty of your journal and started dreaming of the things I REALLY wanted to do in my life.
And now I’m doing those things every single day. So thank you!

  17. Oh girl. I feel ya. Viscerally feel ya. Howlin’ at the moon tonight in the hopes that you can hear me. Also, COME VISIT, pls.
