PS

The most spectacular thing I’ve seen all week?

Just now, whilst running my ten mile loop on the mountain,
I saw a red tailed hawk flying with an impossibly
large snake in its talons.
It was beautiful, dreadful and wild.
I’m convinced it was a once in a lifetime sighting.

How about you?

  10. my weekend (and the next 2 weeks) will be spent in the splendiferous north at Nemeiben. I'll kiss the sphagnum for you. There's been an INSANE amount of rain up there this summer – the lake's up 20 inches apparently!! crazy. hopefully we can get there without coming across flooded parts of highway!!!

  11. We have Red Tailed Hawks around here. I saw one with a snake flying to her nest to feed her babies, but I'm sure your snakes are a lot bigger than ours.
