Grey Day

It has been so lionishly GREY here today.  We’ve had skittering thunderstorms rolling in over the West Bench for most of the afternoon.  At some point, I looked out my studio window into the huff and puff and blister and blaster of the weather pouring down from the mountain tops and I knew I had to combat the drizzle with some color before the storms blew my house down.

I made these four necklaces.
Zing!
Pop!
Crack!
Zoot!

(What the heck is a zoot?)

These are sizable, enameled pendants strung on delicate sterling chain.  They host my maker’s mark as well as my soul tags.
Simple and beautiful.
They’ll be in the shop in mere moments.
Toodaloo!

Gosh.
Is anyone else hyper right now?

  6. Lovely. Nothing beats grey and orange! Except maybe grey and yellow. Or grey and pond scum green. Or grey and hot purple….

  7. Who am I? says

    These are simply divine!

It should be no wonder to me that these are already gone…. if only I could snap into etsy shops during the work day and snatch up pieces as soon as they are listed, like so many other people can!! 🙂

Good to see enamel again! You do make such cheerful bits when you add a dash of enamel color.

    LOVE the orange one!!

That groundhog is sooooo flippin' cute!!!
*pinches it's cheeks and runs away squealing*

    …meee! I'm hyper hyper hyper! ;P
But I found I much prefer feeling a tad hyper than uber, yucky hypo…hopefully this means you can go down with the meds now and find your optimal level. 🙂 If so, I'm right there with ya! Revving things up with whack loads of "normal" energy again (most days)! *vrooom!* 😉

Gorgeous – every grey day should involve enamel and the colour orange!
    Jaime

PS – very hyper, but that is because we had a going away at work which resulted in me having chocolate cake for dinner!

  10. Lovely new necklaces! Loving the plum colour especially.

Oh yes, I am feeling super-duper hyper!
Torn ligaments (ankle). Too much bed rest. Eeeeech. Thank goodness for good blogs. Wink, wink.

  11. More wound down here, actually. I got my hubby back from a trip, and he's cooking a nice sturdy breakfast downstairs.

    I love that color orange!

(and lastly, I was oh so envious of your sushi in the last posting, we don't have any sushi restaurants in this little town, and I got way spoiled in San Diego with all those tasty sushi rolls.. Friday used to be our sushi day..)

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? (Sorry. My Dad used to like to provoke us to try to say that real fast.)

Love those rich enamel colors on eye-catching shapes!

  14. beautiful!
