So cute! Once when I was canoeing I saw a huge beaver napping on the shore; it was so big that from afar I thought it was a snoozing bear cub! Once I got closer the little fellow woke up to me smiling at him and promptly cannon-balled into the water in fear.
I’ve got that song stuck in my head now 🙂
I love the beaver. I saw one a couple of weeks ago at the small lake by our house when I was out for a walk. At first I thought it was just a muskrat but then it pulled itself out of the water and hauled a big branch around and I realized what he was. It’s a good sign of health for our little lake if a beaver is making his home there.

Gorgeous! I love the pose — when they lift up their paws to see what’s going on. Love the reference to the song, too 😉 And being that I grew up near Amiskwaciy Waskahigan (Edmonton) I appreciated it extra much.
