One day he will tell his grandchildren about his life – how in the beginning a beautiful lady saved his life, and how she fed him the finest bugs and peeled cherries,,, how he grew strong and proud. He will tell them of the day he had to spread his wings and be with his own in the sky and how sad but beautiful the woman looked when she had to say goodbye. His grandchildren will giggle and ask to be told the story again about the fair woman, his earth mother,,, their great-grandmother, the Plume.
Oh, he is getting so big! Well done, Jillian!! He looks wonderful – what a sweet little guy. How much longer will he need to stay with you, do you think?
(his little metal look-a-like has not been off my finger since he came in the mail )
He does look wonderful, except for his skranky tail feathers…
I don’t know how much longer we’ll have him! I’m working quite hard to try to get him self-feeding.
You have a piece of Titus eternal! I’m trying to make another Titus ring…it’s called “Belly of the Bird” and I’m going to put hoppers and hopefully a berry or two in his belly. Should be cute!

Look at the adult plumage! He’s growing up so fast. The idea of raising a wild bird makes my heart tingle. I’m glad I can live vicariously through you.

Ditto. <3
Right now, there are waxwings in the crab apple tree just off the deck. I hear them singing. Titus is singing back to them. Soon, little buddy. Soon.
I want to schmooze his little noggin.
